Every winner will receive three packs of products from Macadamias Australia. Their packs are roasted salted, milk chocolate, lemon myrtle, raw, dark chocolate, dry roasted, honey roasted, pieces ( great for cooking) and new happy nut vanilla macadamia. Serenades for Strings is a romantic program of the finest classical music from Beethoven to Mendelssohn mixed with an exciting new Australian work, Australian composer Paul Stanhope’s Dancing on Clouds from the Hush 18 Collective Wisdom Album.

Helena Rathbone, Principal Violin and founding Director of ACO Collective, celebrates her 25th year with the ACO and will lead you in a magical night that takes you from Edward Elgar’s tranquil Serenade for Strings to Beethoven’s delightful and optimistic Romance for violin and orchestra.
ACO Collective combines Australia’s most talented emerging string players with the professional musicians of the ACO to create a high-energy 17-piece string orchestra. At Moncrieff Entertainment Centre 23 October. Bookings now open. Entry is free.

The Drummers Of Japan Winner

Their live performances are so full of intensity that they make people’s bodies jump and their hearts race faster. Audiences are overwhelmed by the beat of the music, as their bodies are uplifted in sync with the powerful sounds. Don’t miss The Drummers of Japan at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre on Saturday 10 August at 7.30pm.

Trip to Lady Elliot Island winner!

One of our readers will be visiting the Great Barrier Reef in coming months. In the competition in our summertime Bundy Book we asked the readers to count the number of turtles featured in the Bundy Book.

We have two tickets for the winner and partner to visit Lady Elliot Island and spend two nights in a Queen Suite Ocean View room at Kacys on the Bargara Esplanade. A draw was held from all correct entries and the winner is Harry Humphreys of Roma.

Harry is a pupil at Roma State College and he and his family visited Bundaberg over the Christmas holidays. They saw the turtles of Mon Repos and visited Lady Musgrave Island. Harry picked up his Bundy Book at Kelly’s Beach Resort at Bargara. Congratulations to Harry and thanks to all who entered. We had hundreds of entries in this competition from all around Australia.

One of the wonders of the world

The annual visit of the Loggerhead Turtles to Mon Repos beach near Bundaberg is happening later this year.
Nesting season starts in November and the hatchlings head into the sea up to the end of March.

We invite you to enter our See the Turtles competition and you could be the winner of a three nights stay at the Point Resort in Bargara which will give you the opportunity to see the turtles.

The Point Resort is a perfect choice for both couples and families wanting Bargara accommodation. Choose from modern 1, 2 or 3 bedroom holiday apartments located just a few minutes from Kelly’s Beach, the Basin and the Bargara Golf Club.
The prize is for a family of two adults and two children.

Also included in the prize is lunch or dinner at Baltimore Bar and Café by the river at the picturesque marina at Port Bundaberg.
You will take a leisurely half day tour on the Burnett River on the Bundy Belle which once carried passengers across the waters of Moreton Bay.

Lady Musgrave Cruise competition Winner

Lady Musgrave Island a beautiful coral atoll a short trip from The Port of Bundaberg

In our Bundy Book mid year publication we invited our readers to enter to win this fabulous prize: A trip for two on the Lady Musgrave Experience and two nights at Kacys of Bargara.

We had entries from around Australia and a draw was held from the correct entries: The winner isJenny Sylvester of Hawkes Nest NSW.

While Jenny is in Bundaberg she will visit Hinker Hall of Aviation and the Barrel in Bargara Road We have contacted Jenny who was delighted to win the prize and said she and her husband will be able to take it in 2019.

The Snapp-er of the winning photo will receive dinner for two at Thai Tulips restaurant in Bundaberg, which serves authentic Thai food. The winner will also receive two new books from Hardie Grant Books.

Fitzroy Island Winner

We have a winner of three nights in a one bedroom Ocean Suite at Fitzroy Island with Return Fast Cat transfers from the mainland.
This prize is for two adults and two children.

This was the competition in the Tourist Queensland/Miners Express publication. A draw was held from all the correct entries….and the winner is Sunshine Wilson of Emerald.
